Singapore Sights - Orchard Street

On Thursday, the eve of CNY, I have walked the city. Mostly the ethnic neighborhoods, but somehow I ended up at Orchard Road.

Orchard Road is the main shopping street of Singapore. It starts at the administrative district of Singapore, very close to City Hall and St. Andrews Cathedral, and goes Northwest.

I have started at the National Museum of Singapore.

Wesley Methodist Church (not supposed to take pictures, ooooops).

No idea :)

Nanyang@Mandarin Gallery and McDonald House.

In front of Plaza Singapura.

Istana Park...

...across the road from the main entrance of the Istana, i.e. the residence of the President. (More about this in another post.)

The Dubliners - I can only guess :)

The real shopping street starts. I think the decoration is already in expectation of Valentine's Day. (Which happens to be on the same day in the Western and Chinese calendar this year!)

The only Victoria's Secret outside North America!

They build something EVERYWHERE ALL the time!

Ok, this is still CNY :)

This is the end of Orchard street.

The panda at the (other) end of Orchard street.

Again, construction project, with panda :)

The entrance to Orchard MRT station.
